How Chrono Coil handles information, in plain language.

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Kermizi ("we", "us", or "the developer") handles information in connection with the mobile game Chrono Coil (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. We do not collect, store, or sell any personal information that identifies you.

The App has no accounts and no login. Your game progress — completed levels, stars, daily puzzle results, streak repairs, best scores, chosen skin, settings, and your hint count — is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us or to any server we control.

Information We Collect

We (the developer) do not collect any personal data directly. The App has no accounts and no backend server of our own that receives your data.

Usage analytics. The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase, provided by Google, to understand how the game is played so we can improve it. It records gameplay events such as levels completed, daily puzzles played, endless runs, hints and ads used, and streak repairs, together with an app-instance identifier, device and operating-system information, app version, and approximate location (country or region) derived from your IP address. It does not identify you by name or contact details. Analytics collection is off by default and only begins after the consent step: outside the regions where consent is required it is turned on automatically, and inside them only if you agree. You can change your choice at any time from the PRIVACY link on the App's title screen.

The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google. To serve ads, AdMob and Google may automatically collect certain information from your device, including:

  • Device advertising identifiers (Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS, if you allow tracking, or Google's advertising ID on Android) and other device identifiers
  • IP address and approximate (non-precise) location derived from it
  • Device type, operating system, and app-usage information related to ad delivery
  • Information about how you interact with ads (for example, ad impressions and clicks)

This information is collected and processed by Google under its own privacy policy. We do not receive this data in a form that identifies you.

How Information Is Used

  • To display advertising. Google uses the information above to deliver and measure ads within the App: interstitial ads at natural breaks (at most every five levels or retries, and never during the first sessions) and optional rewarded-video ads that you choose to watch for an extra hint, a second chance in the endless mode, or a streak repair.
  • To understand and improve the game. Aggregated analytics (for example, which levels are played, how daily puzzles perform, and how ads are used) help us balance the game and decide what to build next.
  • To store your progress locally. Your game data is saved on your device so you can resume where you left off. Deleting the App removes this local data, though your device’s own iCloud or Google backup may keep a copy.
  • To remind you about the daily puzzle. If you enable it, the App schedules a local notification on your device for the next daily puzzle. These reminders are stored and triggered entirely on your device; nothing is sent to us.

Your Advertising Choices

You can limit ad personalization and reset your advertising identifier at any time through your device settings:

  • On iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
  • On Android: Settings → Google → Ads (on some devices, Settings → Privacy → Ads).

Consent in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland. If you are in a region where consent is required, the App shows Google's consent form before it requests any ads or analytics. You can choose whether your data may be used for personalized ads. To change your choice later, tap the PRIVACY link on the App's title screen.

Tracking permission on iOS. On iOS, the App asks once for permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites, using Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you allow it, Google may use your IDFA to show more relevant ads. If you decline, the App does not access your IDFA and you still see ads, but they are less personalized. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Data Retention & Security

Because we do not collect or store your personal data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to retain. Local game data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Data handled by Google AdMob and Google Analytics for Firebase is retained and secured in accordance with Google's policies and retention settings.

International Users

The App is available internationally. Any data processing performed by Google AdMob and Google Analytics for Firebase is governed by Google's global privacy practices, which include protections for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other regions.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
